Here is a Olympia Precision Models EH-131 HO BRASS Boston & Maine Class R1-d 4-8-2 Steam Locomotive & Tender. This locomotive features beautiful unpainted brass construction, metal wheels, siderods, and motor.
Introduced at the turn of the 20th century, the 2-8-2 was an innovator breaking from the traditional manufacturing of locomotives, and featuring a larger firebox paving the way for greater speeds at a higher rate of power! Before we knew it, the 2-8-2 also known as the "Mikado" found itself in rail yards around the world from the United States to the Congo hauling freight from stop to stop. The Mikado would undergo a temporary name change after the Pearl Harbor bombing in 1941 shortly going by the McArthur, before eventually going back to the Mikado name after WW2.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The locomotive is missing the decorative bell. This locomotive needs a little nudge to run in reverse.
