Lionel 736 Vintage O 2-8-4 Berkshire Steam Locomotive w/ 736W Tender/Box

This is a Lionel 736 2-8-4 Berkshire Steam Locomotive with 736W Tender from 1950-66. The 736 was a mainstay of Lionel's line for much of the Postwar Era and was included in numerous top of the line sets. Features include die-cast metal construction, a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating smoke unit, a decorative bell, metal side rods, metal wheels and nice detail.

This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-3: Good based on visual appearance. The locomotive's shell has been re-painted. The locomotive's original motor has been replaced with. The locomotive does still struggle with amperage issues despite the motor swap. The tender's whistle works intermittently. The locomotive and tender show scratches and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. The locomotive and tender show rust throughout various sections of the chassis and trucks. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
