Lionel 709 Vintage O Prewar Buffet Car - Reproduction EX

Lionel never made a 709 but this car matches the 710/712 from the prewar era and is a nice 'what if' car. It was made by the Rich-Art Company of Escondido California. It looks almost exactly like a Lionel 710 except it says New York Central instead of Lionel Lines along the top of the sides. Features include tinplate construction, tinplate trucks, metal wheels and axles, and latch couplers.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. This item shows some scratches, scrapes, dents, and spots of paint loss on the shell and chassis. This item is in overall excellent condition, free of broken trim pieces. The doors are not perfectly lined up with the inside of the shell. One of the stairs is crooked. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is not included.
