Lionel 665 Vintage O 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive w/ Smoke Chamber EX/Box

This is a Lionel 665 Vintage O 4-6-4 Steam Locomotive w/ Smoke Chamber from 1954-66. A tender is not included. Features include a die-cast boiler shell, an open frame motor, magnetraction, a 3-position reverse unit, an operating headlight, an operating smoke unit, a decorative bell, metal side rods, and metal wheels and axles. This engine was used in several O Gauge sets in the 1950s and 60s.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent. This item shows some scratches, dents, and spots of paint loss on the shell and chassis. This item is in overall excellent condition, free of broken trim pieces. Some of the hand rails are slightly bent. This item has been out on display previously and its overall appearance could be significantly improved with a thorough dusting or a light wipe down. The instruction manual is not included.
