Here is a Lionel 6-9700 O Gauge Southern 'Serves The South' Box Car #9700 (Rare Version). This boxcar features sliding doors, plastic trucks, operating knuckle couplers, metal wheels and axles. This is the first car in the famous 9700 series. This is the rare version that also features a metal door guide on the bottom of both doors where the generic version has plastic door guides on the bottom.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-7: Excellent based on visual appearance. The wheels show rusting. This car shows scratches and paint loss throughout various sections of the shell and chassis. This car shows rust on the chassis and trucks. The instruction manual is not included.
