Here is a Lionel 6-8100 O Gauge Norfolk & Western 4-8-4 Steam Locomotive & Tender #611 from 1981. This engine is a reissue of the classic Postwar 746 and is one of the most popular engines in the MPC Era. Its features include a die-cast construction, an open frame motor, Magnetraction, an operating smoke unit, an operating headlight, electronic whistle and Sound of Steam, and a great paint scheme. The tender is plastic construction and die-cast 6-wheel trucks.

First introduced in the early 20th century, the 4-8-4 to rail yards by storm primarily hauling coal and other forms of freight across state lines in the US and rail-ways in various other countries. While later models would improve on the 4-8-4's limitation, this locomotive still made its place in history as a pioneer of 20th century rail-road industry, and is featured in some museums today as a testament to how far the industry has truly come!

This set has been graded per TCA standards C-8: Like New. These items appear to have been run sparingly, and display overall signs of very light previous use. The original paint is in great shape, and each unit displays a like-new overall finish. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning.
