Here we have a Lionel 6-17025 O Gauge Die-Cast Chesapeake & Ohio 50-Ton Offset Hopper Car #300027. Introduced in the late 1920’s, the rugged, 50-ton twin hopper proved an invaluable railroad workhorse. In the tradition of other Lionel Standard O rolling stock, such as the PS-5 gondolas, these offset hoppers include an accurate, scale-level of detail. Each car features die-cast metal construction with separately applied metal parts. The Lionel Offset Hoppers are available in four new road names for 2004. Features include Scale level of details, Scale-sized, Die-cast metal sprung trucks and operating couplers, Separately applied details ,Hidden uncoupling tab, Die-cast metal frame and body, Removable single-piece coal load, Opening bottom hatches and measures 9 1/2 inches.
