Lionel 59 Vintage O Air Force Minuteman 2-4-2 Gas Turbine Switcher VG/Box

This is a Lionel 59 U.S. Air Force Minuteman Diesel Motorized Unit from 1962-63. This is one of Lionel's colectible motorized units that were produced in the postwar years. The 59 Minuteman is one of the more desirable and slightly hard to find units since it was only made in 1962 and 1963. Features include a die-cast frame, and open rame motor, a 3-position reverse unit, a decorative horn, metal side rods, operating metal knuckle couplers and metal wheels.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. The body is slightly discolored and scratched and some trim parts are damaged. There is faint rust along the underframe and the wheels, couplers, and trucks show light wear. The original box is included and notated. Please check the photos for a detailed look at this item.
