Lionel 2353 Vintage O Custom Illinois Central F-3 AA Diesel Locomotive Set #2353

Here is a Lionel 2353 Vintage O Custom Illinois Central F-3 AA Diesel Locomotive Set (1 powered & 1 dummy) #2353. Introduced in 1953, the 2353s were the successors to the 2343 Santa Fe F-3s. The 2353s differed in having no screen roof vents and no front handrails. These locomotives feature a battery operated horn, lights, die cast metal trucks, operating knuckle couplers on the front of both locomotives and fixed knuckle couplers on the rear, magnatraction and metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards (Restored/Repainted) R-2: Fair based on visual appearance. These items show scratches, dents, cracks, and spots of paint loss throughout various sections of the shells and chassis'. The non powered locomotive has cracks in its paint. Both units stirrup steps are bent. The windshields are scratched and dirty. The powered locomotives shell is only half attached to the chassis. This item has been custom painted and decaled by the previous owner. The overall appearance of each item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included.
