Lionel 2328 Vintage O Burlington GP-7 Powered EMD Diesel Locomotive VG

This is a Lionel 2328 Vintage O Burlington GP-7 Powered EMD Diesel Locomotive from 1955-56. The 2328 Burlington GP7 was one of three road names to appear on this all new diesel style of 1955. The other two GP7‘s introduced in 1955 were the 2028 Pennsylvania and 2338 Milwaukee Road. All three GP7‘s have become desirable and collectable diesels. A common problem with the 2328 is the quality of the silver paint. Frequently, the silver has tarnished or become ‘washed out‘ in appearance. Locating a Burlington diesel with a high quality silver exterior will require some effort. Features include a motor, a reverse unit, operating lights, an operating horn, die-cast metal trucks, operating knuckle couplers and metal wheels.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are light nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on this item. The item has chipped paint and the rails are slightly bent. There is rust on various sections on the underframe. The item does not operate when tested, so its being sold as-is. The instruction manual is not included. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The original box is not included. Overall condition is Very Good.
