Lionel 1665 Vintage O Die-Cast 0-4-0 Steam Switcher w/Tender #2403B VG

Here is a Lionel 1665 Vintage O Die-Cast 0-4-0 Steam Switcher w/Tender #2403B was available in 1946. It shares a 1662M-2 motor with the pre-war No.1662. This black painted die-cast boiler came with red jewels on the front and a silver rubber-stamped number on the cab. This engine has a three-position directional unit whose control lever protrudes from the top of the boiler right in front of the sand dome and there are two electrical receptacles on the motor to accept electrical plugs from the tender. The left hand plug was for the front electronic coupler and the other plug provided a better ground for the motor. This locomotive has a headlight lens and is lighted in the front and there is a nickel ornamental bell with a bracket on top. The No. 2403B tender is heat-stamped in widely separated letters "LIONEL LINES," and is equipped with an operating bell, a working back-up light, wire handrail and came with staple-end trucks that have one electronic coupler.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are small spots of rust on the rods of the locomotive. There are light nicks and scratches on the surface of the shell and chassis. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The original box is not included.
