Lionel 145 Vintage O Gauge Operating Gateman VG/Box

Here is a Lionel 145 Vintage O Gauge Operating Gateman. The Lionel 145 Gateman was one of the most popular accessories of the Postwar Era. It was made from 1950 to 1966. When a train passes over the contactor, the gateman pops out of the door waving his red lantern, then goes back inside the building once the train passes. The house is lighted as well. It measures 4 1/2 inches tall x 7 inches long x 6 inches wide.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are many nicks, scratches, rust & chips in paint all along the base. There also appears to be yellow paint around the bottom of the house. The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The instruction manual is not included.
