This set is a remake of the classic AF Pony Express Set from the late 1950s and includes a pair of Alco PA-1 diesels (one powered, one non-powered), a combination car, passenger car, vista dome car, and observation car. The powered unit features: a 3-position electronic E-unit, dual motors, pullmor traction tires, and powdered metal axle brushings on all wheels. Both locomotive units feature: a working headlight, metal chassis, die-cast trucks, and front and rear knuckle couplers. The passenger cars feature passenger silhouetted window strips, die-cast truck sides, operating knuckle couplers, and metal wheels and axles.
