Introduced in its prototype form in the late 19th century, the 4-6-2 would take the world by storm at the turn of the 20th century, being seen as one of the biggest innovation in the history of locomotives -- the 4-6-2 would quickly finds its place in rail-yards across the world. Heralded for its ability to haul passengers, the 4-6-2 was a versatile model hauling freight and coal as well, with tank variants being introduced later during the 20th century. Traveling at speeds upwards of 100mph the 4-6-2 was featured on rail-ways ranging from Argentina to Egypt, and all the way to the far East in China!
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are several scratches/nicks across both bodies resulting in paint loss in some areas. The headlight is missing the mount screw and remains loose. The tender is missing a wheel pair. The rear of the tender has a big broken piece. The front locomotive headlight is broken & chipped.
